Bring fresh, filtered, cold water to a boil for black and oolong teas and just below boiling for white and green teas. Pour the heated water over leaves to release the flavor and bouquet. Observe how they unfurl and expand as they release their luscious aroma, color, and taste! Allow black tea to infuse up to 5 minutes. Infuse white and green tea from 2 to 3 minutes. Brew herbal tisanes and rooibos 5 minutes. -------------- Proper infusion times contribute to ultimate flavor and aroma. Over infusing can produce a bitter taste. To achieve a stronger brew, simply add more leaves. Now relax and enjoy an exceptional cup of Tea! ---------------------------------------------- TEA INFORMATION: Over the past few years, the US media has been touting the many benefits of drinking green tea. Little has been said regarding the strength of white tea until now. ------ The Chinese have enjoyed white tea for over a thousand years. White tea is produced on a limited scale and has been considered a tea enjoyed solely by the elite. Only recently has the western world begun to hear of this rare and special tea. --------------- White tea gets its name from the fine silvery white hairs on the unopened buds of the tea plant. The highest quality white tea consists of these buds and selected tealeaves. It offers a light, delicate, slightly sweet flavor that enlightens the senses without overpowering the palate.
